Dylanne is 5!

So, today Dylanne turned 5 years old! With all of the hoopla revolving around Micheala, Heather and I wanted to try and make this day very special for Dylanne. We had Grandma and Grandpa Schrock, Aunt Joni and Uncle Chris, Aunt Donna and Great Grandma Norma and Jason and Erica over for a party. We served walking tacos (a Schrock favorite at birthdays) and followed it up with cake and ice cream. Dylanne opened her gifts and then we went outside to play in the water and have a few games of cornhole.Dylanne anxiously awaiting to open her gifts. She woke me up this morning by asking me over a thousand times, "Can I open my gifts yet?" She was also excited about wearing her new dress that she got with grandma on Friday. Grandma took Dylanne birthday shopping and bought her many dresses and head bands for her birthday. Dylanne is definately a diva in training.
Micheala's gift to Dylanne was a Barbie hair dresser toy. Micheala wanted to get Dylanne a guitar, but Mom and Dad vetoed the idea thinking that there is already enough noise in the house.Chris and Joni got Dylanne a Barbie laptop computer. This is actually more educational than entertaining because it teaches to type, read, math and other educational things. Dylanne really loves the computer.
Dylanne making a wish on her 5th birthday. She told Heather and I that she really had fun today and wished everday was her birthday. After Heather and I explained to her that it would be financially impossible for everyone if her birthday was everyday, we told her that everyday is special as long as we have fun and love each other.
Later in the evening, Micheala disappeared for a while. We found her on the table enjoying some left over cake. She had cake smeared all over her face and hands. I guess she really is a "party animal"! I hope this isn't a glimpse into the future, or Heather and I will have our hands full.
